Quality Assurance (QA)

We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.

Roles & Responsibilities
    • Test functionality and review visual elements of small- and large-scale interactive deliverable
    • Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, changes
    • Validate and close-out all issues prior to client delivery
    • Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
    • Develop a process to ensure the highest level of quality assurance possible
    • Investigate procedures, workflows, and software to keep our processes up to date
    • Mentor QA team members and share expertise
    • Conduct daily touch-base meetings with QA
    • Work closely with partners and producers on company process
    • Assist in the development of on-going training programs for the QA Team
    • Provide department specific orientation and training for new hires
    • Maintain open communication with internal teams
    • Assist with internal project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering
    • Plan and document the testing effort via test plans and test cases for larger-scale projects
Requirements
    • Exceptional work experience in development and/or testing roles 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Technical background and an understanding of web services, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, and REST APIs 
    • Good development/scripting skills in common languages (e.g., VB, JAVA, PERL, C++) 
    • Database skills (e.g., SQL Server) 
    • Good understanding of object-oriented programming (e.g., ASP.NET) 
    • Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Visual Studio, Parasoft) 
    • Employers generally require a bachelor’s degree in an information technology discipline. Along with education, quality assurance analysts must understand the software development life cycle and quality analysis methodologies. 
    • Most employers use applications to test computer systems and software and a quality assurance analyst should be familiar with one or several of those applications.
    • Bachelors degree preferred
    • certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
    • quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience
    • experience with the implementation of corrective action programs
    • product or industry-specific experience
    • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
