Business Development Executive

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Executive to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. A business development executive is a senior manager tasked with the job of helping his or her business grow and therefore, they are high-level sales professionals. Their priority is to assist their companies to acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones; this means the role is a crucial one for any business with the ambition to expand or the necessity to diversify its clientele. It also means that effective business development managers are in high demand in nearly every job sector there is, including business-to-business, business-to-customer, and even non-profit organizations.

Roles & Responsibilities
    • Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities.
    • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships.
    • Establishing customer needs and selling products accordingly.
    • Working on weekly and monthly sales targets and KPI’s.
    • Arranging meetings with clients and carrying out product demonstrations.
    • Following up swiftly on sales inquiries and sending out information.
    • Working closely with other teams to develop new business.
    • Researching the market and identifying potential target customers.

    • Background of the Business Development Executive
    • Previous new business experience ideally from a company in the same or similar industry.
    • Proven track record of bringing in new business and a natural ability to drive sales.
    • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
    • Well organized with previous experience using CRM systems.
    • Identifying new sales leads
    • Pitching products and/or services
    • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
    • When it comes to generating leads, day-to-day duties typically include:
    • Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
    • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
    • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
    • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
    • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
    • When it comes to the challenge of actually selling, other typical duties include:
    • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
    • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
    • Developing quotes and proposals
    • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in-person
    • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
    • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
    • To keep healthy relationships with clients mostly requires socialization. So from simple chats on the phone to lunches and events or conferences, business development managers must be sure to keep their customers happy. Of course, as with all office jobs, documentation is also a big part of the work. Business development professionals are also obligated to write reports and provide feedback to upper management about what is and are not working.
Requirements
    • A proven track record in strong presentation skills is essential in the role of a Business Developer.
    • Business Developers need a strong track record of business-to-business sales at a corporate level.
    • A Business Developer will need to have strong research and strategic analysis skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to cold call potential clients with confidence are key for a successful business developer.
    • Business Developers need to be skilled at agreeing and closing deals with clients.
    • Excellent organizational skills are essential as well as performance monitoring will be a requirement.
    • Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and associated programs.
    • Must hold a full clean driving license.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
    • Ability to adequately demonstrate working experience acquired from similar positions
    • Ability to adequately perform professional and financial services relating to the needs of the organization
    • Excellent skills in logistics management and information and computer technology
